Hi. I'm Lyn Sheppard. I've been writing songs & instrumental music since the 1980s and have enjoyed collaborating with lyricists, singers and other songwriters on countless projects. I started out at a keyboard player with the band The Process. Since then, after a period creating jingles and incidental music for radio, I've concentrated on songwriting and production. It was not until 2023 that I decided to release some of my own tracks.
Girl Boss
This is the first of a number of dance tracks that I am releasing. Written in 2024, I've been experimenting with producing dance tracks that combine some slightly unorthodox approaches. With this one I was trying out a different beat variation to the more-typical dance beat.
When Zoe Rocks
It was a pleasure working with lyrics from Zoe Edge and creating this track for her. What an amazing lady! Although I have been doing dance tracks for a while, when she said she wanted a Rock / Pop track - it was good fun to revisit the genre!
The Truth is coming out
Before releasing stuff under my own name, I started adding some of my tracks to songs a friend of mine, Paul Chabourne, and myself, were releasing under the name The Many and the Few. This is the 2nd of my own tracks I released under that banner.
In a Different Life
Written with lyricist, Paul Chadbourne, this song features Chesterfield vocalist Amae. Recorded at my studio in Chesterfield, Paul and me have been writing original songs for many years. This was originally released under the banner of The Many and the Few.
